The small print, in plain words
The deal between you and Bard
Last changed on 30 October 2026
These are the terms for using Bard. By using Bard, you agree to them. We kept them short and plain. If something is unclear, email [email protected].
Who we are
Bard is run by numly, Artemisstraat 517 2321LA Leiden, KvK number 65756452. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean Bard.
What Bard does
Bard turns your videos and your music into short clips. You can download them, or have Bard post them now or later to the accounts you connect, like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or older.
- One login is for one person. A manager or label may add several artists to their login, as long as those artists said yes.
- Your login link opens your account, so keep your email safe.
Paying
- Bard is a monthly subscription, paid through Stripe. You see the price before you pay.
- It renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Your plan, in two clicks. Bard keeps working until the end of the month you paid for.
- If you live in the European Union, you can change your mind within 14 days of your first payment and get your money back, minus the part you already used.
- If the price changes, we email you at least 30 days before. You can cancel before it starts.
Your clips stay yours
You keep every right to your videos, your music and the clips Bard makes. You only give Bard permission to store, copy and edit them to make your clips, and to send them to the places you choose. When you add a song, you also let Bard send that song to xAI, so the lyrics can be written on your clips. The video is not sent there. That permission ends when you delete them, except for posts that are already live on another app.
You need the rights
You promise that you own, or have permission to use, everything you add to Bard: the video, the people in it, and the music. If someone complains that you did not have permission, that is your responsibility.
Posting to other apps
When Bard posts for you, you are also using that app, and its rules apply to you:
- YouTube. By using Bard to post to YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's Privacy Policy also applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
- TikTok. TikTok's Terms of Service and, for posts with music, TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation. When you mark a post as paid by a brand, TikTok's Branded Content Policy applies too.
- Instagram and Facebook. Meta's Terms and Instagram's Terms of Use.
These apps decide what they show. They can refuse, delay, limit or remove a post, or change how they work with Bard. When a post does not go out, Bard tells you and tries again where it can. We cannot promise views, followers or streams.
Please don't
- Add videos or music that are not yours to use, or that break the law.
- Use Bard for spam, like posting to accounts you do not control.
- Try to break, overload or copy Bard, or resell it.
If something goes wrong
We work hard to keep Bard running well, but we cannot promise it never breaks. Keep your own copies of your videos and music. Our responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. That limit does not apply when we cause harm on purpose or through gross negligence, or where the law does not allow a limit. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights consumer law gives you.
Ending
You can stop at any time and delete your account from Your plan. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms. We tell you why, unless the law stops us.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email you at least 30 days before. If you keep using Bard after that, the new terms apply.
The law
Dutch law applies. If we disagree and cannot sort it out together, a Dutch court decides. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can also go to a court where you live.
